Description
"DuckTales 2" is a platform video game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was released in North America in 1993 and in Europe in 1994, serving as a sequel to the original "DuckTales" game released in 1989.
In "DuckTales 2," players once again control Scrooge McDuck as he embarks on a globe-trotting adventure to recover valuable treasures and artifacts. The game features non-linear gameplay, allowing players to choose the order in which they tackle the various stages. Each stage is set in a different location, such as Niagara Falls or Egypt, and features unique enemies, obstacles, and puzzles to overcome.
Similar to the first game, Scrooge can use his cane to pogo jump on enemies and objects, as well as to break open treasure chests and uncover hidden passages. Additionally, the game introduces new mechanics, such as the ability to hang onto and swing from ropes, adding variety to the gameplay.
"DuckTales 2" received positive reviews from critics upon its release for its colorful graphics, tight controls, and engaging level design. While it didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as its predecessor, it remains a beloved title among fans of classic NES platformers and Disney-themed video games.
